Call for Participation in the Federal Foreign Office’s Ebook Project

Under the motto “Ich habe einen Traum – I have a dream”, the Federal Foreign Office calls children and young adults between the ages of 6 and 19 to take part in this year’s writing competition to contribute to the new e-book project. With prose texts, short stories, essays, or poems young authors are invited to write about their dreams, hopes and wishes for the future (in German or English). Submissions which include racist, sexist, or defamatory content or glorification of violence will be disqualified.

The submitted contributions will be professionally reviewed and edited in three different age groups: 6 to 10 years, 11 to 14 years, and 15 to 19 years. The e-book is published by the renowned ‘Aufbau Verlag’ and will be presented at the Federal Foreign Office‘s open house on August 16th, 2020.The best three texts in each age group will be awarded. In addition, children’s reporters from the ‘Tagesspiegel’ will award a special children’s jury prize. The e-book will be available for free download!
