Virtual Summer Camp at Deutsche Sprachschule New York
This year Deutsche Sprachschule New York is offering a German immersion online summer camp experience for the first time. There will be courses for different age groups for children who have a German-speaking parent. The program will include music (singing German children’s songs), theater, art projects, and of course German reading / writing / listening / speaking / grammar.
Summer Camp will be three times a week for three weeks.

Pre K – K : 10am to 11:30am (which includes a short break) $420.00
Our fun German summer camp will have different themes each week and is filled with acting, music, magic, dancing and more.
1st to 3rd grade : 10am to 1:30pm (includes 1 hour lunch break) $560.00

We will send your child a package filled with all of the supplies they need for the arts projects.
4th to 6th grade: 10am to 1:30pm (includes 1 hour lunch break) $560.00
Week 1:Spieglein, Spieglein an der Wand: Our virtual campers will get to know different types of fairy tales as well as their characteristics. They will also have the opportunity to create their very own tale.
Week 2: Sommer, Sonne, Sonnenschein: Let’s bring some beach flair into our classroom. In this week our campers will analyze ads and learn how to create a fun advertisement. Create your own ad for your hotel, beach resort, Ice-Cream etc. find a logo and create and ad in German.
Week 3: Art – Terrific Summertime Fun: Join us for a week full of arts & crafts while strengthening your German skills and learning new vocabulary. We will send your child a package filled with all of the supplies they need for the arts projects.
7th to 9th grade: 10am to 1:30pm (includes 1 hour lunch break) $560.00
In this camp we will develop, write, produce and record our own podcast. This includes building our own sound booth at home, writing scenes, reports and imaginative interviews, and creating a story as a group.
We might get familiar with sound editing tools and increase our media competence. We will learn to discriminate between different text genres and discuss our work all in German.
