Waldorf Schools have been very popular in Germany for a long time, but the US is catching up on the benefits of their unique education approach. Today there are around 160 Waldorf Schools in the US, one of them being the Rudolf Steiner School on the Upper East Side. The school offers Early Childhood, Elementary School, and High School education. Once your child enters the Waldorf concept he or she can continue all the way to their High School diploma. January is a busy time of the year when parents of pre-kindergarten and kindergarten-aged children evaluate their education options for the coming fall. What’s your definition of bilingualism?
When I moved from Germany to NYC, I started to work as a German teacher for children, and became curious about bilingualism and bilinguals.
I spoke English in my everyday life, and German to the families I was working with, and to my relatives and friends at home, but I never labeled myself bilingual.

10 things you might not have heard about breastfeeding
1) Breastmilk has the highest amount in fat in the afternoon. In the morning the amount is higher but its more “watery”.
2) We always believed foremilk has less fat than hindmilk. However, new studies have shown that sometimes foremilk and hindmilk have equal amounts of fat.
