COVID-19 – Suspension for all Travel From Europe to the U.S.
Due to the spread of COVID-19, President Trump is declaring a general entry ban starting Friday, March 13th, at 23:59 EDT (Washington DC local time) for persons who have been in Europe within a period of 14 days prior to entering the United States (except for traveler from the United Kingdom).
Not affected by the travel ban after appropriate testing are, according to information from the Federal Foreign Office:
– US citizens,
– Persons with permanent legal residence in the USA (“green card” holders),
– Close relatives of US citizens or persons with permanent legal residence in the USA (spouse, parent, child or siblings under 21 years of age),
– Diplomats or staff of international organizations.
The duration of the entry restriction is currently limited to 30 days.
