Trinity Place Shelter, https://trinityplaceshelter.org/

Trinity is a growing, diverse, imaginative, justice-seeking community of faith of the ELCA on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

Our worship embraces the varied voices that make up our congregation from the very youngest to the oldest and everyone in between. We gather to welcome all as Christ has welcomed us, without reserve or judgment. We enjoy great music of many styles, wonderful preaching, delicious food and caring companionship. We have worship services in English and Spanish every week. We support the full participation of our LGBTQIA+ members in the life of the church locally and world-wide. Our mission statement says that “We are TLC for NYC, celebrating diversity, building community, and seeking justice in Jesus’ name.”

We invite you to join us in the wild belief that with God and one another we can make a difference. Join us on the sacred journey towards a better church and a better world!

Welcome to Trinity Place Shelter, where our mission is to help homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer (LGBTQ*) youth and young adults in New York City to safely transition out of the shelter system and grow into independent, positive, and productive adults.
